What I’ve learned in 16 years behind the chair—through both doing the work and leading a team—is that success in this industry takes so much more than great technique. It takes clarity, support, business know-how, and someone who sees your potential—even before you do.

I know that firsthand. When I started in this industry at 18, I didn’t know much—about business, about building a career, or even if I would stick with it. Like so many new stylists, I walked in with a love for doing hair—but that love came with a steep learning curve.

I fell in love with this work, but no one prepared me for what it would actually take to turn that passion into a sustainable career. I had to figure out the business side on my own—often the hard way.

Looking back, I realize how different those early years could’ve felt if I’d had honest guidance and real-world support. That’s why I care so deeply about helping the next generation of stylists not just survive those early years—but build something they can be proud of.

Mentorship isn’t a program to me—it’s a purpose. Rooted in real experience and built from the belief that we rise together, this is a space for emerging stylists to gain the guidance, grounding, and honest support they deserve as they build long-term, fulfilling careers.
